ASPEN Procedure

01

Create Comfort

Utilizing blankets, generic numbing sprays, VR, and / or therapy animals have proven to reduce anxiety in patients.

02

Assemble ASPEN

A single ASPEN device includes 1 Operating Grip and 3 Flexible Tubes. Please see below for a visual of the assembly process.

03

Collect Sample

The operator will guide the Tip past the soft palate, insert until the depth marker aligns with corner, and depress the plunger, twist, release, and remove ASPEN with sample enclosed.

04

Repeat for each Biopsy

Repeat Assembly and Sampling for each Biopsy location (Proximal, Mid, and Distal).

05

Microscopy Analysis

Biopsy sample is stored and processed by a Microscopy lab to identify esosinophil count for diagnosis.
